BONES 11×13 Stills: “The Monster in the Closet”

For some reason, FOX uploaded the Bones 11×14 stills first, but they have now posted the stills for the very creepy-looking new episode, airing on April 28th at 8/7c.

In “The Monster in the Closet,” the team investigates multiple deaths linked to a serial killer. The team first investigates the decomposing body of a social worker in a park, but evidence suggests the killer lived with the body for several months (ew!). Things complicate when they discover another set of remains with similar details, linking these deaths to a serial killer who had creepy interactions with his victims. Because of this, Booth and Aubrey consult with Karen Defts (the behavioral analyst from 11×10) to help with any clues regarding the identity of this serial killer. Elsewhere, Cam is trying to decide who and what she wants in her romantic life. (Yes, Arastoo is the squintern this week.)

BONES 11×14 Stills: “The Last Shot at a Second Chance”

BONES: L-R: Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor, TJ Thyne and guest star Laura Spencer in the "The Last Shot at a Second Chance" episode of BONES airing Thursday, May 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2016 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Patrick McElhenney/FOX

If you are wondering where the stills for 11×13 are, I have no idea either. But for now, we’ll have to do with the stills for the May 5 episode, written by fan favorite writer Emily Silver, “The Last Shot at a Second Chance.”

The case of the week deals with the murder of a convicted felon who had been released to a halfway house but had disappeared. One of the suspects has ties to Booth. (Not completely surprising: our favorite FBI agent has been to jail, too. Maybe the episode will deal with that!) Elsewhere, Brennan testifies at an FBI hearing about the circumstances regarding the assault of an unarmed suspect from a previous case — the outcome might lead to her suspension and prevent her from working with the FBI. Also, Aubrey and Jessica’s first kiss is delayed again, and Hodgins keeps pushing Angela away (uh oh).

(See the press release here.)

BONES 11×10 Debriefing: Fate Dealt You a Tricky Hand

This is way overdue. We know, we know.

The fact two episodes aired the same night, coupled with exams, made uploading this recap difficult. Add in Christmas travels (and the holiday itself), and it was not a good time to upload this at all. We decided to save it for a bit until the spring premiere, thinking it would be in early March (or late March, at the latest) and boy, were we wrong. Enough with excuses, though.

It’s mid-April and the show is finally coming back this week after four months off the air. (And little promotion to anyone watching on TV, ahem.) The previous episode ended with Angela and Hodgins at odds about expanding their family, and Cam opting to finally give Sebastian a serious chance.

Needless to say, this episode is a doozy. There is an inherent, underlying tension because you know things are going too well, and they are certainly not going to be like that by the end of the double-header. The events were pretty hyped, and we got plenty of reminders this was supposed to be the season opener until they decided to scrap that.

Let’s just recap what happened in Bones 11×10, “The Doom in the Boom”…

BONES 11×12 Stills: “The Murder of the Meninist”

More Bones stills coming our way!

In “The Murder of the Meninist,” airing April 21st at 8/7c, the team investigates the murder of a founder of a men’s rights organization, whose remains are found in a car crash. It is believed he might be the victim of domestic abuse. As Brennan finds more information about the beliefs of the organization (as you might imagine from the title, they believe middle-aged men are oppressed and feminists are man-haters), she uncharacteristically loses her composure during an interrogation, attacking the co-founder. Elsewhere, Angela and the team struggle to deal with Hodgins’ bitterness due to his condition, and Booth believes Brennan to be a jinx to his beloved Flyers.

BONES 11×11 Stills: “The Death in the Defense”

Ah, long time no see!

After what has felt like forever, Bones will be returning to our TVs in less than 10 days! A few weeks after announcing its April return, the show was renewed for a shortened, and final, season next year. Bittersweet news!

By the way, if you are still waiting for the recap for the second part of the fall finale — look for that early next week! It’s been waiting to be posted for months now, but we felt like it would be a good refresher to have before the spring premiere. We just didn’t expect the spring premiere to be in mid April.

But let’s get to it.

The spring premiere, is airing on Thursday, April 14th at 8/7c. “The Death in the Defense” picks up eight weeks into Hodgins’ rehabilitation for his tragic paralysis. The case itself will find the team investigating the death of a public defender, who had plenty of past defendants with motives to kill her.

If you think this is the kind of case that would bring Caroline back to our screens, that’s correct! The squintern of the week is Wendell. You can find the rest of the press release here.

Without farther ado, here are the Bones 11×11 stills!

BONES 11×09 Debriefing: “Giddy Up!”

BONES: Cast L-R: John Boyd, TJ Thyne, Tamara Taylor, Michaela Conlin, Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. The 11th season of BONES premieres Thursday, Oct. 1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2014 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: FOX

Mosey on over! On Thursday night, Bones had two radically different episodes. The first hour featured the return of Buck and Wanda, Wild West edition: Big River Buck, and Wildcard Wanda. As is the norm with most undercover episodes, this outing was a lot of fun because it gave the audience a peek into how the characters would behave out of their comfort zone.

The make-believe was not everything there was to this episode, as storylines that have been brewing for the past few episodes come to a head: Angela’s desire for more kids plays front and center, and Cam’s relationship with Sebastian casts doubts on going forward with him.

More thoughts after the jump!

Disclaimer: Yes, there will be two recaps. I apologize for the delay in posting this one, and I apologize for how late the other is going to be. You can blame finals and holiday travel!

As you might have heard, we won’t have a new Bones episode until December 10, when FOX will air two episodes on one night. Since they are not a two-parter, we have decided to make different posts for each episode.

In the first episode of the night, Booth and Brennan will go undercover at an Old West-style shooting competition (as you might have seen in the promo that aired after 11×08) to solve a murder. Elsewhere, Angela and Hodgins discuss the future of their family, and Cam gets close with Sebastian Kohl.

BONES 11×08 Debriefing: “A Bad Day for the NSA”

For the first time ever, the show is celebrating Thanksgiving, the underrated holiday that is often overlooked because it’s in the middle of two bigger ones.

So what better case to celebrate that than a conspiracy-fueled episode that debates freedom and security?  Thursday’s case was pretty interesting, as the team ran into some opposition that resulted in extra-carefulness on their part. As for the festive part of the celebrations, it was as lighthearted and fun as you’d expect it to be: after all, this team is like a dysfunctional family, minus the awkwardness between barely-seen family members. (Speaking of which: this marks Parker’s and Michael Vincent’s returns to our TVs!)

BONES 11×07 Debriefing: “A Little Mystery is Good for the Soul”

In these times where anything is a Google search away, parents have to come up with increasingly creative ways to trick their kids into believing some mysteries to create a sense of wonder and feed their imagination.

Tonight’s episode was centered around magic and deception, whether it was our victim of the week, an argument about the Tooth Fairy, or magic aficionados Clark and Hodgins one-upping each other. Ultimately, the case came down to something as abstract and binding as a promise.

BONES 11×08 Stills: “High Treason in the Holiday Season”

Halloween has passed and gone, which means… the holiday season is upon us! And to celebrate, Bones will have its first ever Thanksgiving episode on November 19.

As per the press release, the team will investigate the murder of a high-powered political journalist who had recently published an article exposing corruption in the NSA. This obviously riles resident conspiracy theorist Hodgins up, as the team realizes their every move is being watched. On a happier note, Brennan is secretly planning a surprise for Booth, and the team will celebrate Thanksgiving together.

The squintern of the week is Rodolfo Fuentes and the kids (Christine, Michael Vincent and yes, Parker!) will make an appearance as well.
