BONES 12×11 Stills: “The Day in the Life”

The end is nigh.

You’ll easily realize this seeing the events in the stills, and reading the synopsis for the episode. It’s hard to believe it’s all happening.

“The Day in the Life” airs on March 21st at 9/8c on FOX. In the penultimate episode, the characters’ final story begins to unfold – in many cases, it’s the payoff for their season-long storylines: Brennan testifies in Zack’s trial, Aubrey and Jessica come to terms with their future together, Angela has some big news. (And based on the fact Felicia and Michelle are back, it’s safe to say that Cam and Arastoo might finally make it official – see: all those twinkly lights.) Not everything is happy or hopeful: the team also finds out Kovac has escaped, so Booth will try to protect himself and those closest to him from Kovac’s most dangerous plan yet. (You can read the entire press release here.)

Some other people present in the episode are Avalon Harmonia (played by the wonderful Cyndi Lauper), Caroline,Christine and Karen!

BONES 12×04 Stills: “The Price for the Past”

In this week’s episode, the past will come back to haunt our favorite team.

Per the press release, the team will investigate the murder of someone from Booth and Brennan’s past. (From the promo after last week’s episode, you can probably guess.) But also, Aubrey faces a moral dilemma of his own when he discovers his dad (played by John Boyd’s real father, and character actor, Guy Boyd) is back in the picture.

And, Caroline and Jessica are also back!

BONES 12×02 Stills: The Brain in the Bot

Happy New Year, everyone.

After the intense season premiere last night, the second episode will deal with the murder of a man involved with creating artificial intelligence bots. Thus, they will have to determine whether one of his own AI creations was programmed to kill him. Meanwhile, Brennan also plans a special surprise for her 40th birthday, as we saw in the promo after the premiere last night. (Does she know how surprise birthday parties work? Also: aw!)

The episode will air on next week — Tuesday, January 10 at 9/8c, and will see the return of Daisy, Max and Christine, among others. You can read the full press release here.

BONES 11×22 Stills: “The Nightmare Within the Nightmare”

Ominous! If that episode title doesn’t raise your alarms, then the following Bones 11×22 stills for the season finale might.

As you can read in the press release, the team attempt to find “The Puppeteer,” the serial killer we were introduced to this season that lived with his victims before disposing of them. At the same time, Brennan is dealing with the guilt over her retirement last season finale, blaming herself for not stopping him much earlier. Little does she know, she might be in trouble herself. (Which that bone-chilling cliffhanger Bones 11×13 ended on hinted at…) Also, as you can see in the stills below, Max is back! And so is Christine.

Click through for the Bones 11×22 stills. We hope to catch up on recaps soon, but we should have something on the finale that weekend!

BONES 11×20 Stills: “The Stiff in the Cliff”

In “The Stiff in the Cliff,” airing on June 23, the team must solve a murder to protect one of their own. Which one? Thanks to the Bones 11×20 stills, you’ll find that out soon enough!

Per the press release, the team has to determine whether the death of famous billionaire Henry Charles (whose remains were just found in Antarctica) was murder or not. When (spoiler alert!) it’s confirmed he was killed on an expedition ten years prior, Clark is in the suspect shortlist, as he was also a member of the expedition. Elsewhere, Felicia Saroyan (now played by Raney Branch) comes into town to help her sister with the wedding planning, making some old family friction resurface.

The squintern of the week is Wendell, and Christine will also make an appearance.

BONES 11×19 Stills: “The Head in the Abutment”

After a week off (next week), Bones will return to our screens on June 16 with “The Head in the Abutment.” To make that wait more bearable, here are the Bones 11×19 stills and synopsis.

Per the press release, the headless body of a popular hockey player is dumped in the river, and the team is called to investigate. As Booth and Aubrey question the coach (played by former NHL player Jeremy Roenick), Booth’s depth of knowledge about hockey becomes quite integral to solving the case. Moreover, he’s reunited with a rival from his past — putting him back into the ice once again to face off against him. Elsewhere, Hodgins and returning squintern Oliver have a competition to retrieve the missing head when Hodgins builds two drones, and Booth and Brennan attempt to declutter their home. (Link)

BONES 11×18 Stills: “The Movie in the Making”

Michael Peterson and the other writers have described “The Movie in the Making” as a mix of Modern Family and Making a Murderer. If you caught a glimpse of the promo that aired after last week’s really solid episode, you had seen what they meant… If not, you can also see that in the Bones 11×18 stills below.

According to the press release, a documentary crew producing a tv segment on the Jeffersonian follows the team during a “typical” case (body found in a landfill, buried more than a decade ago). The camera crew captures normally unseen footage of the team at work, while the team provides some candid commentary providing some unique insight into the case as Brennan and co. prove their expertise and importance to the case, while Booth and Aubrey show their skills on the field.

You can check the rest here. Arastoo is this week’s intern, and Christine also makes an appearance. For the Bones 11×18 stills, click through!

BONES 11×17 Stills: “The Secret in the Service”

The Bones 11×17 stills are out! We apologize for the delay in getting them up.

“The Secret in the Service,” airing on May 26, deals with the murder of a secret service agent just before a presidential visit to the area where the body is discovered. Booth then turns to friend and former colleague (turned Secret Service agent) Brandt Walker for information, but is surprised when he learns of the Secret Service’s reservations about him working the case. Once the team uncovers some shocking evidence that underline the seriousness of the case, Booth steps up for his country. Meanwhile, Brennan is out, sick with the flu, so Dr. Fisher returns to the Jeffersonian to run the lead on the case, but this is Brennan: she refuses to be out of the loop. Also, Hodgins decides to take his life into his own hands and ‘turns a corner after a potentially dangerous experiment.’ For the entire press release, click here.

BONES 11×16 Stills: “The Strike in the Chord”

It’s happened again. Fox posted the Bones 11×16 stills before posting the ones for episode 11×15 (airing next week!).

If you are looking for the last three recaps: They’re coming! It’s finals and graduation time, so it is difficult to get anything finished.

Airing on May 19, “The Strike in the Chord” investigates the death of leader of Lynwood University’s male acapella group, “The Whippersnaps.” He had recently kicked someone out, sending Aubrey and Booth to question to Ian and the other guys in the male acapella group, as well as the ladies from the competing female group to get a handle in their group dynamics. Meanwhile, some surprising information about Aubrey’s own college experience comes to light, Hodgins applies for an experimental nerve regeneration study, Booth tries to plan a summer trip with Parker, and a new (female) intern joins the Jeffersonian lab, played by BK Cannon. Read the complete press release here.

As you will be able to see in the stills below, Scott, Mitch and Kirstie from famous acapella group Pentatonix are on the episode, as well as Youtuber Sam Tsui and Grease Live‘s Jordan Fisher.

BONES 11×11 Debriefing: “You’re Essential to Me”

Welcome back, Bones!

It is strange that the show is returning just as May Sweeps (the traditional end to the television season) are about to start. It’s even crazier to think that the show will be running until late July, too.

It’s been a bit over four months since we last saw our favorite squints, but only eight weeks have passed in Bones time. After the shocking ending to the midseason finale, the spring premiere opens with Hodgins being discharged from the hospital. He’s jarringly happy and hopeful — basically, in perfect denial.

The episode went all in with showing us Hodgins’ current struggle, and it shone a light into his and Angela’s relationship. I especially liked the storyline was not put into the background, rather than have it be in the backburner. It is such a big event in the characters’ lives, and it would have been a disservice to just focus on some other trivial thing. This is a show that prides itself in having such great actors with developed characters, and that is definitely felt here: as the close family they are, every character has a very distinct and emotional reaction to Hodgins’ condition.

So, let’s discuss that, and other things that went down on Bones 11×11, “The Death in the Defense”…
