BONES 11×20 Stills: “The Stiff in the Cliff”

In “The Stiff in the Cliff,” airing on June 23, the team must solve a murder to protect one of their own. Which one? Thanks to the Bones 11×20 stills, you’ll find that out soon enough!

Per the press release, the team has to determine whether the death of famous billionaire Henry Charles (whose remains were just found in Antarctica) was murder or not. When (spoiler alert!) it’s confirmed he was killed on an expedition ten years prior, Clark is in the suspect shortlist, as he was also a member of the expedition. Elsewhere, Felicia Saroyan (now played by Raney Branch) comes into town to help her sister with the wedding planning, making some old family friction resurface.

The squintern of the week is Wendell, and Christine will also make an appearance.

After a week off (next week), Bones will return to our screens on June 16 with “The Head in the Abutment.” To make that wait more bearable, here are the Bones 11×19 stills and synopsis.

Per the press release, the headless body of a popular hockey player is dumped in the river, and the team is called to investigate. As Booth and Aubrey question the coach (played by former NHL player Jeremy Roenick), Booth’s depth of knowledge about hockey becomes quite integral to solving the case. Moreover, he’s reunited with a rival from his past — putting him back into the ice once again to face off against him. Elsewhere, Hodgins and returning squintern Oliver have a competition to retrieve the missing head when Hodgins builds two drones, and Booth and Brennan attempt to declutter their home. (Link)

BONES 11×17 Stills: “The Secret in the Service”

The Bones 11×17 stills are out! We apologize for the delay in getting them up.

“The Secret in the Service,” airing on May 26, deals with the murder of a secret service agent just before a presidential visit to the area where the body is discovered. Booth then turns to friend and former colleague (turned Secret Service agent) Brandt Walker for information, but is surprised when he learns of the Secret Service’s reservations about him working the case. Once the team uncovers some shocking evidence that underline the seriousness of the case, Booth steps up for his country. Meanwhile, Brennan is out, sick with the flu, so Dr. Fisher returns to the Jeffersonian to run the lead on the case, but this is Brennan: she refuses to be out of the loop. Also, Hodgins decides to take his life into his own hands and ‘turns a corner after a potentially dangerous experiment.’ For the entire press release, click here.

BONES 11×16 Stills: “The Strike in the Chord”

It’s happened again. Fox posted the Bones 11×16 stills before posting the ones for episode 11×15 (airing next week!).

If you are looking for the last three recaps: They’re coming! It’s finals and graduation time, so it is difficult to get anything finished.

Airing on May 19, “The Strike in the Chord” investigates the death of leader of Lynwood University’s male acapella group, “The Whippersnaps.” He had recently kicked someone out, sending Aubrey and Booth to question to Ian and the other guys in the male acapella group, as well as the ladies from the competing female group to get a handle in their group dynamics. Meanwhile, some surprising information about Aubrey’s own college experience comes to light, Hodgins applies for an experimental nerve regeneration study, Booth tries to plan a summer trip with Parker, and a new (female) intern joins the Jeffersonian lab, played by BK Cannon. Read the complete press release here.

As you will be able to see in the stills below, Scott, Mitch and Kirstie from famous acapella group Pentatonix are on the episode, as well as Youtuber Sam Tsui and Grease Live‘s Jordan Fisher.

BONES 11×11 Debriefing: “You’re Essential to Me”

Welcome back, Bones!

It is strange that the show is returning just as May Sweeps (the traditional end to the television season) are about to start. It’s even crazier to think that the show will be running until late July, too.

It’s been a bit over four months since we last saw our favorite squints, but only eight weeks have passed in Bones time. After the shocking ending to the midseason finale, the spring premiere opens with Hodgins being discharged from the hospital. He’s jarringly happy and hopeful — basically, in perfect denial.

The episode went all in with showing us Hodgins’ current struggle, and it shone a light into his and Angela’s relationship. I especially liked the storyline was not put into the background, rather than have it be in the backburner. It is such a big event in the characters’ lives, and it would have been a disservice to just focus on some other trivial thing. This is a show that prides itself in having such great actors with developed characters, and that is definitely felt here: as the close family they are, every character has a very distinct and emotional reaction to Hodgins’ condition.

So, let’s discuss that, and other things that went down on Bones 11×11, “The Death in the Defense”…

BONES 11×14 Stills: “The Last Shot at a Second Chance”

BONES: L-R: Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor, TJ Thyne and guest star Laura Spencer in the "The Last Shot at a Second Chance" episode of BONES airing Thursday, May 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2016 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Patrick McElhenney/FOX

If you are wondering where the stills for 11×13 are, I have no idea either. But for now, we’ll have to do with the stills for the May 5 episode, written by fan favorite writer Emily Silver, “The Last Shot at a Second Chance.”

The case of the week deals with the murder of a convicted felon who had been released to a halfway house but had disappeared. One of the suspects has ties to Booth. (Not completely surprising: our favorite FBI agent has been to jail, too. Maybe the episode will deal with that!) Elsewhere, Brennan testifies at an FBI hearing about the circumstances regarding the assault of an unarmed suspect from a previous case — the outcome might lead to her suspension and prevent her from working with the FBI. Also, Aubrey and Jessica’s first kiss is delayed again, and Hodgins keeps pushing Angela away (uh oh).

(See the press release here.)

BONES 11×10 Debriefing: Fate Dealt You a Tricky Hand

This is way overdue. We know, we know.

The fact two episodes aired the same night, coupled with exams, made uploading this recap difficult. Add in Christmas travels (and the holiday itself), and it was not a good time to upload this at all. We decided to save it for a bit until the spring premiere, thinking it would be in early March (or late March, at the latest) and boy, were we wrong. Enough with excuses, though.

It’s mid-April and the show is finally coming back this week after four months off the air. (And little promotion to anyone watching on TV, ahem.) The previous episode ended with Angela and Hodgins at odds about expanding their family, and Cam opting to finally give Sebastian a serious chance.

Needless to say, this episode is a doozy. There is an inherent, underlying tension because you know things are going too well, and they are certainly not going to be like that by the end of the double-header. The events were pretty hyped, and we got plenty of reminders this was supposed to be the season opener until they decided to scrap that.

Let’s just recap what happened in Bones 11×10, “The Doom in the Boom”…

BONES 11×11 Stills: “The Death in the Defense”

Ah, long time no see!

After what has felt like forever, Bones will be returning to our TVs in less than 10 days! A few weeks after announcing its April return, the show was renewed for a shortened, and final, season next year. Bittersweet news!

By the way, if you are still waiting for the recap for the second part of the fall finale — look for that early next week! It’s been waiting to be posted for months now, but we felt like it would be a good refresher to have before the spring premiere. We just didn’t expect the spring premiere to be in mid April.

But let’s get to it.

The spring premiere, is airing on Thursday, April 14th at 8/7c. “The Death in the Defense” picks up eight weeks into Hodgins’ rehabilitation for his tragic paralysis. The case itself will find the team investigating the death of a public defender, who had plenty of past defendants with motives to kill her.

If you think this is the kind of case that would bring Caroline back to our screens, that’s correct! The squintern of the week is Wendell. You can find the rest of the press release here.

Without farther ado, here are the Bones 11×11 stills!

BONES 11×08 Debriefing: “A Bad Day for the NSA”

BONES: Cast L-R: John Boyd, TJ Thyne, Tamara Taylor, Michaela Conlin, Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. The 11th season of BONES premieres Thursday, Oct. 1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2014 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: FOX

For the first time ever, the show is celebrating Thanksgiving, the underrated holiday that is often overlooked because it’s in the middle of two bigger ones.

So what better case to celebrate that than a conspiracy-fueled episode that debates freedom and security?  Thursday’s case was pretty interesting, as the team ran into some opposition that resulted in extra-carefulness on their part. As for the festive part of the celebrations, it was as lighthearted and fun as you’d expect it to be: after all, this team is like a dysfunctional family, minus the awkwardness between barely-seen family members. (Speaking of which: this marks Parker’s and Michael Vincent’s returns to our TVs!)

BONES 11×08 Stills: “High Treason in the Holiday Season”

Halloween has passed and gone, which means… the holiday season is upon us! And to celebrate, Bones will have its first ever Thanksgiving episode on November 19.

As per the press release, the team will investigate the murder of a high-powered political journalist who had recently published an article exposing corruption in the NSA. This obviously riles resident conspiracy theorist Hodgins up, as the team realizes their every move is being watched. On a happier note, Brennan is secretly planning a surprise for Booth, and the team will celebrate Thanksgiving together.

The squintern of the week is Rodolfo Fuentes and the kids (Christine, Michael Vincent and yes, Parker!) will make an appearance as well.
