THE X-FILES 10×05 Debriefing: All you need is love — and narcotics

If you ever wished you could see Fox Mulder high on magic mushrooms, boy, does The X-Files have the episode for you!

This week, the agents meet their younger doppelgangers, while trying to solve a case that is as nuanced as Mulder’s dance moves. (In other words, not.) It might all just be an excuse to get David Duchovny shirtless, but that’s about where the subtlety ends.

Nels
Nels knew how to operate a TV remote control before she knew how to talk. As a result, she has spent an inordinate amount of time pretending she actually lives on a soundstage. When she isn’t watching whichever show is currently capturing her heart, she is writing about how said show is currently capturing her heart. She loves pie.

BONES 10×05 Debriefing: “Three cheers for modern science!”

bones cast s10

After taking last week off, Bones was back on our TV screens with the fun “The Corpse at the Convention,” featuring the return of Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) author rival Tess Brown (Nora Dunn of SNL fame) and the reappearance of Wendell (Michael Grant Terry), who as you might recall upon last viewing was entering an experimental clinical trial that used medical cannabis.

So, how is Wendell doing? Who killed the Ginger at the Convention? And more importantly, did Brennan’s Schrödinger joke bomb?

Let’s follow the team along as they attend the 19th National Forensic Science Convention.

… is a young graduate student that has been way too passionate about television ever since she was little. While she insists she doesn’t have a specific type of show, they all usually have strong but flawed lady characters, some derivation of the stubborn friends-in-love/friends-to-lovers trope, and they all make her yell at her tv a lot. She just wishes she had more hours in the day so she could actually write about this.

BONES S10 Episode Stills: “The Corpse at the Convention”

Despite the lack of episode on October 23rd, Bones will be back with a new episode, titled “The Corpse at the Convention,” on October 30th (at 8/7c, as always).

In the episode, the team will attend a forensic convention in which Brennan is the keynote speaker… and murder will happen. With so many attendees offering their expertise and products, it will seem as if Hodgins is guilty, so the team will do everything they can to prove his innocence. This episode will also mark the return of Brennan’s novelist rival Tess Brown (played by Nora Dunn). Wendell, will be the squintern of the week and has some news to share regarding his cancer diagnosis. [You can read the whole press release here. I’m pretty stoked by a couple of people guest-starring.]
