BONES 12×11 Stills: “The Day in the Life”

BONES: L-R: Tamara Taylor and guest star Pej Vahdat in the "The Final Chapter: The Day In The Life" episode of BONES airing Tuesday, March 21 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2017 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Ray Mickshaw/FOX

The end is nigh.

You’ll easily realize this seeing the events in the stills, and reading the synopsis for the episode. It’s hard to believe it’s all happening.

“The Day in the Life” airs on March 21st at 9/8c on FOX. In the penultimate episode, the characters’ final story begins to unfold – in many cases, it’s the payoff for their season-long storylines: Brennan testifies in Zack’s trial, Aubrey and Jessica come to terms with their future together, Angela has some big news. (And based on the fact Felicia and Michelle are back, it’s safe to say that Cam and Arastoo might finally make it official – see: all those twinkly lights.) Not everything is happy or hopeful: the team also finds out Kovac has escaped, so Booth will try to protect himself and those closest to him from Kovac’s most dangerous plan yet. (You can read the entire press release here.)

Some other people present in the episode are Avalon Harmonia (played by the wonderful Cyndi Lauper), Caroline,Christine and Karen!

Obligatory apology post

Hi everyone,

We’d just like to apologize for our radio silence over the last few weeks. Yes, we’re still alive, but unfortunately real life has annoyingly intruded on our television fangirling, between transcontinental moves, crazy work (which pays the bills to actually be able to watch said television) and the inevitable end of the regular broadcast season.

We are working on bringing some new content to the site over the summer, and we’re slowly but surely making our way there, so that we can keep the conversation going until our favorite characters come back to us in the fall! We’ve had a blast talking to you all this year, and we definitely want to keep it up over the next few months.

Thank you all for your patience, and we will be back very soon!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

We here at TYLL hope you’re all enjoying your holiday season, and that the new year brings you nothing but good things — and the same goes to your favorite fictional characters, too!

We’re sorry for the lull over the holidays. We had plans! We were going to make our own “Best of 2014” lists and celebrate the year it was in TV! Unfortunately work commitments, travel plans, usual holiday revelry and flu-battling curtailed those ideas, but we can’t wait to catch you in 2015 and keep discussing all of our favorite shows in the new year.

We all want to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making this year so great at ThankYouLizLemon.com. We couldn’t have done any of this without you, and we are so grateful for all of your support in 2014. Be sure to join us shortly in celebrating everything 2015 has in store for us on the small screen!

*Taps* Is this thing on?

Hey peeps,

We want to apologize, again, for the lack of updates here in the past two weeks. Blame Thanksgiving, because we sure are! Between travels and family obligations for some of us, and lack of new episodes thanks to the break for others, we just haven’t had the time to keep up to date on our shows here at TYLL.

While the impending Christmas break means a lull in new TV for a while, it also means we should all have time to catch up on our DVRs and get some new content uploaded!

Thanks for your patience!

BONES: Celebrating 200 episodes with cake and candids!

Bones cast 200th

As you might have heard (especially if you follow this site semi-regularly, because TYLL loves the show), Bones is hitting a rare milestone in its 200th episode. Only two dozen dramas have ever achieved it before, according to the tweets coming out of the celebration. The episode airs on December 11.

“The 200th in the 10th” finished shooting yesterday (as per the cast and crew’s tweets) and today, FOX held a party celebrating the occasion with some of the people who have marked the past 10 years. The bash included an awesome skeleton-shaped cake and a banner with 200 pictures — one representing every episode they’ve done. FOX also released a quick synopsis for the 200th, that you can read over at Give Me My Remote.

Without further ado…

Check the mini gallery below, or the slideshow with all the official celebration pics, courtesy of Fox Flash.

SHOWRUNNERS: The Movie (Yes, it gets its own sneak peek, too!)

While we at TYLL like to shine a spotlight on fabulous fictional ladies, we also like talking about TV in general. What follows is something cool that might pique your interest. After all, it highlights the people who bring to life the characters and shows we love and adore.

Have you ever wondered about the masterminds behind your favorite TV shows? Or, more specifically, about those who created and run them?

Then, you are in luck.

In a few days (this Friday, October 31st!), there is a documentary coming out you might have heard about: Showrunners: The Art of Running a TV Show, by Des Doyle. It’s the first feature documentary to ever focus on television showrunners and the creative forces around them.

Tuning In Tonight: 09/26/14 & 09/27/14

A little late, but here are our choices for tonight and tomorrow night!

Nels: To be honest, after the total gut-punch that as Bones last night, I think I’m taking a break from the tube tonight! On Saturday, I’ll be watching Saturday Night Live at 11:30 on NBC, because come on, it’s Chris Pratt.

Cassidy: After last night’s traumatic events, I just couldn’t concentrate on either Scandal or HTGAWM. So that is in my list to watch either this or tomorrow’s afternoon. As for actual shows airing live, I can’t wait to watch The Amazing Race 25 tonight! I’ll also be watching Saturday Night Live tomorrow night, with Chris Pratt as the host. Should be fun!

Tuning In Tonight 9/25/2014

Nels: Not gonna even front, it’s all about Bones for me tonight at 8 on FOX. I can’t wait to see how Booth gets out of the pokey in this season 10 (!) premiere, and you best believe we’re going to have lots of thoughts about it. (Just wait for Cassidy’s review! She’s going to do a great job.) I’m probably going to check out How To Get Away With Murder on ABC at 10, because it looks appropriately scandalous. (See what I did there?)

Cassidy: I was going to joke around and pretend that I didn’t know what I was watching… but my fall shows previews made it clear. Like Nels, I’m watching Bones at 8 on FOX and I am pretty excited to see how the cliffhanger was resolved and to reunite with the team once again. I’ll also try to check in on Scandal at 9, even if I might wait to binge-watch a few, and check How To Get Away With Murder out at 10, both part of ABC’s Shondaland Thursdays.

Lucie: Oh Thursdays…my busiest TV nights of the week once everything is up and running. Tonight is manageable.  It starts off with Grey’s Anatomy at its new time 8/7c. I will try my hardest to write a review but no promises! I’ll have an hour to gather my thoughts before I check out the last show of Shondaland Thursdays with How to Get Away With Murder.  The promos haven’t impressed me but Viola Davis is amazing and I have found that when I’m disappointed in promos, I’m usually impressed with the show.

Tuning In Tonight: 09/24/14

Nels: Hmm, things are starting to heat up on my DVR. I started watching The Middle this summer when it ran in syndication on one of my local stations, so I may tune in to its season premiere at 8 on ABC, just to see my favorite loveable nerd Sue Heck be her usual adorable self. I’ll be watching Red Band Society at 9 on FOX, and maybe even black-ish (which I’ve already reviewed) on ABC at 9:30 if I’ve got the time. Then it’s time for my guilty pleasure, Nashville, at 10 on ABC — I can’t wait to see what they do with Juliette’s story, or what the Stella sisters sing this week.

Cassidy: I’m watching the second episode of Red Band Society at 9 and then, I’ll tune in to watch the Big Brother finale at 10, even if the episode starts at 9:30. Here’s hoping I don’t miss that much in that first half hour. (And with BB16‘s finale my summer shows are officially done!)

Lucie:  I may tune into The Mysteries of Laura even though the premiere was extremely underwhelming. If it’s unbearable, I’ll switch to The Goldbergs on at a new night on ABC at 8:30/7:30c.  Count me in as another to watch Red Band Society while the PVR records Modern Family and black-ish.  I’ll be PVRing Nashville but will probably watch it live as well. But by that time at night, I’m using half listening while I’m settling down for bed. I can’t help it – I’m old.

Tuning In Tonight: 09/23/14

Nels: I’m tuning into New Girl  at 9, and curiosity’s got the best of me, so I’ll probably be catching The Mindy Project afterwards to see just what force of nature gave us Danny Castellano…

Cassidy: I’ll probably have a study break to watch FOX’s two hip comedies, New Girl and The Mindy Project, starting at 9/8c. They both had promising premieres and I can’t wait to see how they continue. Plus, Mindy will introduce us to Danny’s mom, played by Rhea Perlman — that’s pretty cool.

Lucie:  I might give the season premiere of Agents of SHIELD a look on ABC at 9, though I find I generally enjoy it more when I can binge-watch it all at once.
